What Makes Your Soul Shine?

Intuition – what is it? Many years ago a study was done by two women who interviewed CEO’s around the globe. They were also the authors of Psychic Discoveries Behind The Iron Curtain and SuperLearning (SuperLearning 2000 is the update), two incredible books by Lynne Schroeder and Sheila Ostrander.

The common answer for the success of this group of CEO’s was the same – gut instinct or as we call it intuition.

When I realized I was always looking back at what I should have, could have, would have said or done it dawned on me that was what hindsight was! Then and there was the aha moment. Insight! That, for me is getting to the truth in the very moment I need it. Yay! Awesome, I now had a goal instead of fretting, fearing, worrying.  I was determined to find a way and knew it had to be small steps. What was something that would happen that would fill me with anxiety yet was not very important in my life? Telling a clerk “you gave me the wrong change” and “excuse me I was in line first”. Yep, I was timid. I practiced every moment I had a brief mental exercise and here it is.

I’m standing in line and someone says “you don’t mind” and walks in front of me not waiting for an answer. Instead of jumping to the way I would handle it in real life I forced a picture and a thought and saw myself saying “yes I do mind”. No excuses why I minded. I waited for my heart to stop racing, my fears to stop surfacing. I repeated this exercise dozens of times until it was comfortable to even think that was okay. One day it happened and my answer was spontaneous. Someone tried to rush ahead and I opened my mouth with “the back of the line ends there” while I pointed and firmly held my space. No anger, no disgust, no fear, simply doing what was what my soul would create, a sacred space everywhere I go.

So how does that help the power of intuition guiding us? By starting at the beginning. Know what irks you about how you handle something, anything. Create a vision that holds you firmly as a beautiful soul shining brightly and watch the magic!
